Award winning and one of the most experienced course designers in the disc sports industry. Our lead designer, John Houck, is a member of the Disc Golf Hall of Fame (1998) and Freestyle Frisbee Hall of Fame (2020). He has designed and consulted in over 27 states and 4 provinces in Canada. He has been continuously working in disc sports exclusively since the age of 18.
With over 120 solo designs and another 100+ consults, he has designed more disc golf courses than anyone living today. He is an inventor of disc golf design concepts, creator of many disc golf events, published writer, public speaker, an MC of Freestyle Championships, a commentator of National Championships, a PDGA tournament director & host, player, and a two-time World Champion in Freestyle Frisbee.
His designs have ranked #1 in the world for 8 straight years from 2011- 2018. He is also the designer of the #1 ranked course in Canada for the past 3 years and he is the designer of the top-ranking courses in multiple states. HouckDesign is widely accepted as the #1 name in course design. John has designed an unprecedented 18 courses for PDGA World and National Championships.
